Bridgestone Associates performed a detailed energy audit of Authority buildings and facilities. Work included gathering billing data, analysis of electric and gas bills and tariffs, review and evaluation of building systems including lighting, HVAC and building envelope, and review and evaluation of Authority pumping plants. Because of the topography of the City of Pittsburgh, the Authority has significant pumping requirements due to elevation changes. The evaluation of on- and off-peak pumping and the reservoir and tank capacity was examined and evaluated in detail.
